“Avoid this company. There are plenty others locally! I will leave a star because the repair done was acceptable and I am not at all discrediting the work done to replace a worn ball joint. (MOT failure). I am however upset that the price agreed was inflated when I went to pick up the car, from an agreed price of £150 supply and fit inc vat, to £196. Apparently this was due to a bit of an effort required to get a stuck nut undone. The attitude of the receptionist Gemma was awful. She threatened to retain the car because I did not have the extra money to pay her. I had to call my friend in London so he could transfer the extra. Normally I would expect to be contacted prior to a garage charging more money. I may have said no to the extra cost. Irrespective, her tone of voice and customer service was shocking and I have had numerous emails from WFC explaining their position. They seem to get very defensive and this is seen on other poor reviews. They even had the gile to bring up a price that they quoted me for an MOT failure a year ago, accusing me of being disgruntled then. I refused to get the work done at that time because the quote was eye wateringly high, £1600 plus to replace a rear brake disc and do a few extra bits, so I went elsewhere and had the work done for £700 less than their quote! That was a result I'm sure you agree? My advice is to use a garage that won't mess you around, won't inflate prices given and certainly don't hold your feet to flames threatening to keep your vehicle until the bill is met. I do believe that is unprofessional behaviour, and in all the years I have been driving, some 36 years, I have never experienced that. This company will lose out in the long run because I for one, and a few of my work colleagues that have used WFC, will likely not be going back there, especially after sharing my experience. I am assuming they will respond to this giving their side to things, but if you look at the poor reviews over the years, you will see that they are never wrong and always have an answer to a bad review.. Please be aware and my advice is to use a more reputable professional conpany.”
