“Nice proper pub, staff are friendly and attentive. I'd suggest re-varnishing the table we sat at in the front area. It's sticky to the touch and I know it's not "unclean" but it's horrible when you're eating and your arms/ everything is sticking to the table. We came for a roast, our first time coming here. Sadly, really dissapointed. The meat was delicious but all the veg let the meal down and the yorkshire was a pancake thing?. The swede was raw, the cabbage was so heavily seasoned with I assume cloves? It was so strong, it tasted medicinal. Some of the leek was raw (the bits that were cooked through were nice). Cheesy cauli was good! Overall very heavy handed with seasoning, most of the veg was uncooked. Presentation was lovely though!”
