“Terrible Service • Undercooked Food • Avoid This Place I visited Long John Hill Fish Bar this evening to pick up a meal for my family, and what an absolute shambles it turned out to be. To start, after collecting my order, they somehow managed to miss an entire portion of chips. Annoying enough — but it got worse. When we got home and began eating, the fish was completely undercooked. Not slightly off… totally raw inside. Completely unacceptable. I called them straight away. They apologised and said they would refund the whole order. Fair enough — or so I thought. But unbelievably, no one there knew how to process a refund over the phone, so they told me I had to drive back down. When I arrived, things somehow got even more ridiculous. Not a single person — including the manager — knew how to refund my card. Their only solution was to hand me cash. And to top it off, the manager only refunded the undercooked fish and chips, not the full order they had already agreed to refund on the phone. So let me be crystal clear: • Undercooked food • Missing items • Staff who don’t know basic procedures • A manager who can’t process a card refund • And promises made over the phone that magically disappear when you arrive Be warned. Stay well away from this place. Undercooked food and shocking customer service — a combination nobody needs. Honestly, Fawlty Towers springs to mind. Except this wasn’t funny. It was just embarrassing.”
