“I’ve only been registered at this GP surgery for around three months, and I’ve already had two appointments. On both occasions, I’ve been sent to A&E, only for A&E to tell me that the issue is something that should be dealt with by my GP. Today was particularly frustrating. I took my six-week-old son to see the doctor because he has possible allergy/intolerance symptoms and simply hasn’t been right in himself. I was told that we would have to wait at least two weeks to see a dietitian, but there was very little willingness to actually do anything in the meantime. There are things that could have been tried while waiting, such as discussing or prescribing an appropriate hypoallergenic formula, rather than leaving a six-week-old baby struggling for another two weeks with no real plan. I’m now left feeling like I’m being passed from the GP to A&E and back again, rather than anyone actually taking responsibility for finding out what is wrong and helping us. I understand that doctors can’t always have an immediate answer, but I do expect a GP to listen, investigate and offer appropriate options — especially when it involves a six-week-old baby who isn’t himself. Unfortunately, my experience so far with this surgery, particularly with Dr Mirza, has been extremely disappointing. I shouldn’t have to spend hours sitting in A&E because my GP surgery doesn’t know what to do or isn’t willing to help.”

“Doctors are always lovely but the receptionists are dreadful and incredibly rude.”
