“Very disappointing experience with privacy at this pharmacy. When I went to collect my prescription, I gave my name quietly, but the member of staff then repeated and spelled it out loudly to the pharmacist several times, meaning everyone waiting in the queue could hear my personal details. When my prescription was handed to me, it was also given to me without anything covering it, so the people behind me could clearly see what prescription I had been given. I found this extremely uncomfortable and felt that my privacy was not being treated with the care I would expect from a pharmacy. To make matters worse, although my prescription was apparently ready, it took around 10 minutes to receive it when there was only one person ahead of me. I previously used a different pharmacy and never experienced this lack of professionalism or consideration for privacy. Unfortunately, since moving, this pharmacy is now my closest option, so it is particularly frustrating that I may have to travel further to find somewhere where I feel comfortable collecting prescriptions. I hope the pharmacy takes this feedback seriously, as protecting patients' privacy should be a basic part of the service.”
