“Radiators I have been disappointed with my experience with this company. Two radiators that were supplied and fitted by the company have since become rusty, despite being less than 10 years old, and one has now stopped working. When arranging for the radiators to be replaced, I asked whether I needed to use this company in order to retain the warranty on my boiler. I was advised by a member of their reception team that I did. I have since received advice that this was not the case, and I regret not exploring other companies for the installation. Boiler service and leak Following an annual boiler service carried out by the company, a pipe was later found to be unsecured and a leak occurred. At the time, I was unaware of the cause of the leak, so I arranged for an emergency plumber to attend as quickly as possible. While the plumber was at my property, I contacted the company for advice and spoke with the owner, who advised me to proceed with the plumber who was already there. When I later contacted the company regarding the cost of the repair, I was advised that an engineer had attended my property and was ready to complete the repair. This does not match my experience, as no engineer attended while the emergency plumber was carrying out the work. Attempts to resolve the issues I have contacted Citizens Advice and received advice regarding my rights under the Consumer Rights Act. I have also given the company the opportunity and time to respond and resolve these matters directly. Overall experience Unfortunately, I have been unable to resolve these issues and have been disappointed with the communication throughout the process. At the time of writing, I am considering legal action to recover my losses.”

“Had used this company before on another boiler install and everything was great, so decided to use them again when we moved for a boiler service. Was told our boiler was old and would need replacing. They provided a quote and installed a new boiler over the summer. Initially all was fine until needing to use the heating. They did return however I was made to feel on the telephone that it was something I had done and was advised if it was something I had done I would be charged. I said OK feeling confident that it wasn't something I had done. Long story short they came out got it running but shortly broke down again. Delt with the owner on the phone the following day who was very gruff on the phone laughing that we had no heating in the cold saying " think of all the money we've saved you"! Told that we probably had a leak and they would come out that morning but I would be charged. Fine as we were desperate to get things working. 1pm no engineer. Telephone office the manager was very rude stating that he had not left the office that morning. A courtesy call would have been nice. Telephoned another company who came out sourcing the issue. Many faults on the install identified, not completing bench paper work which is a legal requirement. Emailed the office and no response. I would not recommend this company.”

“The work has been carried out to a very, very high standard. Craig ripped out the water tank in the loft, the water heater in the airing cupboard and the old heat only boiler and replaced it all with a combi boiler. Craig is a credit to the company and very professional and polite. I would highly recommend Gas Air and Tech to anyone needing their services.”
