“After a 32 mile walk Great Yarmouth to Cromer Pier. Then the x44 bus to Norwich. A fantastic curry and beers at at Spice Valley. My friend and I were very tired (luckily). What can I say about this hotel in a balanced review. On the positive, its slap bang in the city centre. Its clean and the twin room was spacious. Tea and coffee provided. The check in details and key code entry was easy and it felt secure. £74 bargain. BUT Its in the city centre so on the Saturday night when we stayed it was a noise wave of screaming kids, fighting outside, police cars and idiots with big loud exhaust pipes racing around town. Then unbelievably at 23:00 the night club opened below the hotel. The vibration and noise was ridiculous, it was like being strapped to a speaker. There was no escape. At one point I did think the ceiling might fall down with the pounding the building was taking. This went onto 02:00 and then general noise until 04:00. As a result of this I will never stay here again. If I had not been so tired I would have left and got the bus home. This out of body surreal experience is difficult to describe in print, you needed to be there. In addition I think I may need to pay for councilling to get over this experience.”

“I agree. This is a budget hotel. The room is immaculate. The shower is hot. Staff congenial. What is not to love…”

“I don’t normally write reviews but I feel some reviews here are overly harsh. No this isn’t the Ritz nor does it claim to be. It’s a budget hotel with lovely staff, clean rooms, and affordable rates. The key card security system made us feel safe in the room. If you’re okay with a bit of noise, as it is above a night club, I would really recommend this family run hotel. If not maybe just go to holiday inn or something.”
