A radio reporter’s role in an earthquake emergency is the subject of Down to Chance, coming to The Garage in Norwich on Wednesday 21 October.

The performance starts at 7.30pm, runs for 70 minutes and has an age guide of 12 and over.

A community connected by radio

Set in Anchorage during the 1964 Alaskan earthquake, the play follows broadcaster Genie Chance as she relays information while trying to protect her own family.

A teenage intern, a general on leave and a radio hobbyist are among the people drawn into the relief effort. The production uses multiple roles and live sound to tell the story.

It is presented by Maybe You Like It, which makes stage and audio shows. The production was developed with support from Theatre Royal Plymouth and The Pleasance.

The Garage is at 14 Chapel Field North, Norwich, NR2 1NY. Its official show page provides the booking route. Check current prices and availability there before making plans.
