Norfolk County Council is inviting comments on a revised road-hump position on Hall Road in Norwich, with written representations due by Tuesday 27 October.

The proposal moves one hump near Abbott Road. It would start 16 metres north of the junction’s centre line and extend southwards for 3.7 metres.

What has changed

The earlier proposal, advertised on 3 July, placed it three metres south of the junction’s centre line. The council says the change is needed to meet design requirements and keep the traffic-calming measures effective.

The locations of the other previously advertised humps remain unchanged. The revised hump would be up to 75mm high, 5.5 metres wide and 3.7 metres long.

How to comment

Written comments must give the grounds for the representation. Email [email protected], or write to the nplaw Traffic Regulation Order Team, Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Martineau Lane, Norwich, NR1 2DH. Correspondence must be received by 27 October.

The official consultation page gives the response details. Enquiries about the proposal can be made through Thomas Howard on 0344 800 8020.
