“Food was ok, we heard the microwave ping which isn't a good sign. In my opinion pasta sauce was average at best. However the staff were okay. Red wine wasn't too bad. It was a Monday night so maybe you can forgive that.”

“We spent a night here at the hotel. It's obviously a bit more towards the price conscious end of the market, but tempering your expectations accordingly, I thought it was very good. The good: room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Shower worked fine. The full English breakfast with toast and marmalade was great, and very reasonably priced. Things to be aware of: they ask you to check-in quite early, which may be an issue if you're leaving work and then travelling here. Probably best to speak to them if that's an issue. It's in a good central location, but that does mean it's on a fairly busy road. Being a small family-run hotel, there's no permanently manned reception or bar! But overall, good place to stay, excellent value, and a thumbs up from me!”
