Nicky Gibbs Dance

“After nearly four years of attending Nicky’s adult ballet classes, they’re still one of the highlights of my week. Every class is carefully planned, with clear progression and a real focus on building good technique, giving everyone the confidence and foundations to keep improving. I particularly value Nicky’s understanding of how to teach adults. She encourages us to challenge ourselves, but always with an emphasis on working safely and looking after our bodies. Her corrections are thoughtful, encouraging and individual, helping each dancer progress without feeling self-conscious or overwhelmed. The atmosphere is genuinely welcoming and non-judgmental. Adults of all ages, shapes, abilities and experience levels, from complete beginners to experienced dancers, are made to feel comfortable and included. There’s no sense of having to fit a particular mould to enjoy ballet or make progress. Nicky also takes time to explain the theory behind what we’re doing, which helps you understand the purpose of an exercise rather than simply following instructions. It makes learning more interesting and, for me, much more rewarding. Most importantly, the classes are a joy to attend and I always leave feeling better than when I arrived. I can’t recommend them highly enough”

“It's been half the year, and I am more than happy with Nicky's classes. She is very professional, explains everything in detail, and creates a very welcoming atmosphere in the class. (Ballet for adult beginners)”
