What people say

2 out of 5 stars

“Quite a lot of flies in this place. Had to have my coffee with flies keep landing on me and made me drink it as fast as possible to get out.”

5 out of 5 stars

“The staff are amazing and the coffee is cinematic quality on the best days. More than a Costa to me. Edit: More photos. This place is a sanctuary of peace.”

3 out of 5 stars

“The picture is from my previous visit where I must have forgotten to leave a 5 star review. Last time the service was brilliant but this time it really missed the mark therefore I feel I can not leave 5 stars. I'm really sad to leave a 3 star review as they are kind enough to do my favourite Cherry Oat Matcha even when it is no longer a menu item. There was a long queue but the team did well to get through it. When I get to the till I request a 'Oat Cherry Matcha' I pay and wait When I get to the table I try it and it doesn't taste right. I notice that the Oat sticker is missing. My stomach then starts to turn because of my dairy intolerance. I realise that it tastes like semi skimmed milk. On realising this I go up to the counter, they were very busy so didn't acknowledge me straight away. Eventually the store manager comes up and asks if everything was okay. I said my drink was supposed to be Oat milk. She took it away without any apology. The Team Leader who took my order came up to her and by the look they gave each other and the words I could make out they must have been saying that I didn't order my drink properly when I explicitly remember requesting an 'Oat Matcha with Cherry syrup'. This is fine but then to my shock the Team Leader then request 45p off me for the Oat Milk upgrade. I understand about stocks and everything so get why she charged with it which isn't a problem. For just 45p when they made a mistake surely it would be courtesy to just fix the drink, smile and apologise. It's just a shame as luckily I am only intolerant what if this happened to someone with a severe allergy. Only due to the lack of customer service and the severe error with their allergy health and safety is why I am unable to give 5 stars this time. Case Number:CAS-1458185-V0W0D7 CRM:0497090026 Costa Customer Care has now dealt with this situation well so I thank them for it but still don't think I could return to this particular costa store after my recent shocking experience.”
