About

Medieval combat training blends together historic sword fighting techniques, teamwork, strength and fitness. Fight with padded training equipment in 1 v 1 duels or team combat or strap on historic steel armour and do it the old fashioned way. Learn from the combat manuals of the middle ages and unleash your inner warrior. The group is open to all ages, and abilities and we provide all padded equipment during training sessions. We are part of a global historical full contact fighting sport, in which combatants use historically accurate reproduction medieval armour and blunted weapons to engage in competitive fights according to authentic historical tournament rules. “Only way it could be better was if there were more sessions! Instructors are beyond friendly and club regulars are also. Buhurt is a very fun sport and you'd do well to get involved. Pop in Wednesdays 18:00-21:00 and/or Sundays 11:00-15:00. £5 fee for sessions but worth every penny. Steel and Stone!”

“If you're looking for something different to try and involves getting fitter then I'd recommend going. Great bunch of people, good fun and only £5, if you go once a week you'd struggle to find a gym that would give you a better work out. It's a fast growing club and activity.”
