“How can a retail chain have a 1 star review ? THE STAFF! I’m not sure if it’s what the hiring process is but I’ve lived in Norwich For 5 years now and never have I ever come across a member of staff that has been helpful or nice. As a matter of fact although the above is a bare minimum, but on top of not having the mentioned qualities they are also quite rude, condensing, aggressive, impatient and are always talking about customers in the headsets, instead of helping they just rant to their headsets. When you queue but miss the cashier calling you, good luck lol- judgy eyes and tone, they literally make you feel like you are a burden but customers are the reason they’re getting their hourly pay.. Or god forbid you accidentally do something that delays the checkout process. I once inquired about the offers on hair dye and instead of checking and informing properly I was told it didn’t apply to the dye I had, I went back to check the label and told them this was the case, I was then quite aggressively told it’s not the case but they will check anyway; they should’ve checked from the get go. Anyway it turns out the label was in the wrong place, it’s not about the offer not being valid it’s the attitude. I appreciate it’s a retail chain and Superdrug could care less about losing a customer here and there but this is more to the management as the employees must really hate their jobs which leads me to think the working conditions must be poor.. Or the hiring manager really has a knack for hiring employees with the above attributes.”
