“I rarely leave reviews, but I felt I had to on this occasion. I messaged via Facebook to ask about availability for a wash, cut and blow-dry and was given a 10:30 appointment. I wasn’t actually seen until 10:50 and left by 11:15, which is incredibly quick considering I have very long hair. An older woman cut my hair (June) while it was dry, and when I mentioned the wash, she said she thought I was planning to wash it at home. The whole appointment felt very rushed, which was disappointing as I rarely treat myself to getting my hair done. The worst part was the “blow-dry.” My hair was only dried for a minute or two and was still noticeably wet when I left. She asked whether I wanted my hair plaited, which I thought would be a nice finishing touch after the blow-dry, but instead she plaited it while it was still completely wet. It completely defeated the purpose of paying for a blow-dry service. While washing my hair, she was also telling other walk-in customers she’d be with them in five minutes, which made it feel like I was being hurried through to fit more people in. I’m quite introverted and dislike confrontation, so apart from mentioning that my hair was still wet, I didn’t say much at the time. However, no customer should leave a salon with wet hair after paying for a blow-dry. This salon may suit people with short hair looking for a very quick trim, but if you want a proper hairdressing experience where time and care are taken, I personally wouldn’t recommend it.”
